Paper is not necessarily the automatic answer in the search for a biodegradable label. Although the resources for paper can be environmentally friendly, additives and coatings can make the label not suitable for biodegradation.
Bio4Life’s paper labels only contain materials in compliance with EN13432. If the cellulose, used for the making of paper, comes from wood, we source from FSC and PEFC managed forests. We can offer paper from fibers waste streams (sugarcane, bamboo) as well.
On top of this we developed a thermal paper, which fully complies to EN13432. These labels are widely used in fresh food packing, enabling to print variable data with every thermal printer.
