Clarifoil® Cellulosic Film offers a uniquely high-quality, cellulose-based solution for brands seeking premium clarity with a sustainable edge. Manufactured from cellulose diacetate a material derived from renewable cellulose sources. Clarifoil® is produced using a solvent-cast process that ensures exceptional optical quality, consistent performance and a naturally smooth finish. No traditional hydrocarbon polymers are used, reinforcing its environmentally conscious profile.
A matt White, high-performance grade is available: It is produced in thin gauges ranging from 14µm to 95µm, making it ideal for flexible labelling applications. delivers enhanced rigidity and surface gloss for more demanding premium applications. The Clarifoil® film balances flexibility, durability and processability thanks to carefully optimized triacetin plasticisation.
Safety and compliance
Designed with safety and compliance in mind, Clarifoil® Cellulosic Film meets EU 10/2011 food-contact requirements as well as US FDA Title 21 CFR regulations, enabling broad use in food-related labelling and packaging environments.
When paired with our BioTAK® HC700 certified compostable adhesive, Clarifoil® provides a high-performance material combination for brands aiming to reduce plastic usage without compromising on clarity, aesthetics or regulatory compliance.
